Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actor from the United States. Since the late 80s she has been working in film and TV. She's received numerous awards including the 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett is a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was brought up in Winston-Salem North Carolina by her aunt, who was born to New York New York, is well-known as an actor. Bassett relocated with her twin sister in St. Petersburg Florida at the age of five so that they could be near their mom and father, who had separated from their dad. Bassett, while in high-school watched John Steinbeck's production Of Mice and Men with James Earl Jones and she was inspired to be an actor. In the year 1980, Bassett was graduated from Yale University New Haven Connecticut with an undergraduate degree in African American studies. She also received a degree from the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance met her at Yale, and in 1997 they were married. Qualification: B.A. Bachelor of Arts (Afro-American studies) in the year 1980. An M.A. in Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett has been cast in the lead role of Ramonda for the action film, i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
